Critical Care Technology

Critical Care Technology is an undergraduate Bioscience course. This three year course trains students in various types of care and treatment given to various different types of patients. Usually Critical Care Technology course trains students to handle patients in critical conditions. This course provides training to students in various skills like Cardiology, they learn Electrocardiogram (ECG), Echocardiography, Computerized Tread Mill Test (TMT), Intra Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), and Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). Also, this program trains students to be skilful in Intensive Respiratory Care, Mechanical Ventilator, Non Invasive Ventilation, High Flow Oxygen Therapy and Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), Renal Replacement Therapy (RRT), where they are exposed to Haemodialysis, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) and Hemoperfusion treatment procedures. Students are also given a full-fledged Operation Theatre Technology training. Also, to identify the state of art of Critical Care of the patient.
